My name is Mrs. Manns and I am so ecstatic to be part of the Fourth Grade team! More importantly, I am so thrilled to have you in my class this year. I hope you are ready to learn a lot of new and exciting things. It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I was born in the island of Puerto Rico, but raised in Connecticut. I have one older sister and one younger brother. My sister is also a teacher in Orlando, Florida. We both got our teaching degree from Rhode Island College. I did get mine first, so technically she followed my lead. LOL! As I mentioned I have lived in several places, such as Puerto Rico, Connecticut, Georgia, and finally Virginia.
This is my seventh year working with Salem City Schools and Love, Love, LOVE this school district. Prior to coming to G.W. Carver I worked at South Salem for one year and Roanoke City Schools.
I have boy/girl twins- McKenzie and Malachi. They turned four August 28th. Both have completely different personalities. They are very energetic and keep me extremely busy after I get home. What a great year! I am so excited to be your teacher this year.
